All payments for OreML are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our authorized reseller and the Merchant of Record. Because Paddle is the seller of record for your purchase, all refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes are handled directly by Paddle under Paddle's Refund Policy. There is no in-app or on-site refund button — refund requests are made through Paddle.
The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, free of charge, and at least as easily as you signed up — through Paddle's Buyer Portal at paddle.net, or from within the app itself, in either case with no phone call, no retention flow to sit through, and no requirement to state a reason. Cancelling stops future billing; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Note: cancelling your billing subscription is separate from deactivating a machine seat. If you simply want to move your licence to a different computer, use the in-app option to deactivate the current machine rather than cancelling your subscription — see our Terms & Conditions for how machine transfers work.
To request a refund, contact Paddle directly through the Buyer Portal at paddle.net or via the contact details on your Paddle receipt/invoice email. Paddle evaluates refund requests under its own Refund Policy. If you contact us directly at support@oreml.com, we will help direct you to the right place, but the refund decision and processing is Paddle's.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU or UK, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in line with EU/UK distance-selling and consumer-rights law.
OreML does not ask you to waive your statutory right of withdrawal. If you are an EU/UK consumer, your full 14-day right to withdraw from a paid subscription applies, and Paddle — as Merchant of Record — receives and processes withdrawal and refund requests under its own Refund Policy.
We take this position deliberately, not by oversight. EU consumer law lets a trader ask a customer to waive the 14-day right only for a one-off supply of digital content not delivered on a physical medium (Article 16(m), Consumer Rights Directive) — a single download or unlock, consumed once and done. A recurring OreML subscription is not that: it is an ongoing, provider-involved service — access is metered, licensed, and administered by us for as long as you subscribe, not handed over once. The Court of Justice of the European Union confirmed exactly this distinction for dynamic, provider-involved subscriptions in its judgment of 9 July 2026 in Case C-234/25: such a subscription is a digital service, not digital content, so the Article 16(m) waiver does not apply to it and a customer's 14-day withdrawal right survives starting to use it. We are not attempting to relitigate that point in our own favour — we simply never ask for the waiver in the first place.
The same judgment confirms that a trader in our position would ordinarily be entitled to deduct a proportionate amount for the days of service already supplied if a customer withdraws after requesting immediate access. We choose not to do that. We do not deduct for days used, and we do not review how much you used the Service. Where a refund is requested inside the 14-day window we instruct Paddle to refund in full — Paddle processes it as Merchant of Record under its own Refund Policy. See Sections 6 and 7 below for how that plays out for a trial versus a paid subscription.
When you subscribe, OreML gives you unlimited access right away rather than making you wait out the 14-day window first. Because EU law treats starting a service early as something the customer should knowingly ask for, subscribing is treated as your express request for that immediate access — this is stated in Section 9 of our Terms & Conditions as well. As explained in Section 5 above, requesting immediate access does not cost you anything: your full withdrawal right still applies for the full 14 days, and if you withdraw, your refund is not reduced for the days you already used the Service.
The free trial does not require a payment card. If you do not add a payment method before the 8-day trial ends, the trial simply lapses and you are never charged — there is nothing to refund, and no withdrawal request is needed because no payment was ever taken.
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle automatically retries it over a grace period before your subscription is cancelled and access locks. See our Terms & Conditions for details on how licence locking works — your data is never deleted.
